Training Schedule – Fall 2014

These practices are optional for club participation, generic but get the most out of your training by participating. Depending on whether you specialize in sprinting, mid-distance, or long distance, your weekly schedule may vary. Personal schedules may also affect your training times. Each week, new training schedules will be posted here on the website.

Monday- speed workout
Either 9:30 a.m. at Percy Beard track (on campus) or 6:00 p.m. For the 6:00 p.m. option, we’ll meet at the Percy Beard Track parking lot by the ticket booth and drive to Cone’s Park for the workout. Otherwise, run the workout on campus route.
(Note: The afternoon practice time has changed from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. for the remainder of the season due to daylight savings)

Thursday- speed workout

Either 8:00 a.m. at Percy Beard Track or 6:00 p.m. For the 6:00 p.m. option, we’ll meet at the Percy Beard Track parking lot by the ticket booth and drive to Cone’s Park for the workout. Otherwise, run the workout on campus route.
(Note: The afternoon practice time has changed from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. for the remainder of the season due to daylight savings. Also, Thursday practice will most likely be canceled the week of scheduled track meets)

Saturday- long run/regular training run
Meet at Percy Beard Track parking lot by the ticket booth at 7:00 a.m. We’ll carpool to and run at San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park for a long run of 4 to 14 miles. We will split into pace/distance groups and will meet every Saturday except for race weekends.
Another option is Sunday morning if you can’t make Saturday. Contact Morgan Keppel on Facebook about a ride.
